Our story

LaPorte & Norris was founded in 1996 in Elizabethton, Tennessee, with the goal of providing effective, caring representation across a wide range of legal needs. Nearly thirty years later, that goal still defines how we practice.

We serve clients throughout Carter County and the surrounding region, from individuals navigating a single estate matter to businesses needing ongoing counsel. Many of our clients have worked with us across generations.

Our staff brings more than sixty years of combined experience to the firm, helping us deliver the quality legal services our clients expect.
